Mother's Home celebrated Ukraine's Independence Day as a family

On August 24, Mother's Home celebrated Ukraine's Independence Day, a special date reminding us that true freedom begins within: in the heart, in the family, and in valuing our history.

The celebration began with an educational talk. Together with the mothers, we recalled Ukraine's national symbols and important historical dates and sang familiar songs that unite generations.

A particularly moving moment came when our mothers shared poems about Ukraine. Their words carried sincerity, love, and longing for peaceful skies. The poems moved everyone and revealed how deeply the mothers feel connected to their homeland.

A festive table with Ukrainian dishes provided an opportunity for warm conversation, laughter, and a sense of home that matters deeply to every woman and child living at Mother's Home.

For us, events like this help strengthen cultural belonging, support national identity, and nurture children's love for Ukraine from an early age.

Children naturally absorb traditions through play and interaction. They see their mothers respecting national symbols and taking pride in their language and culture. This experience becomes a foundation for their own identity.
